SHAPING THE ENERGY TECHNICIANS OF TOMORROW
ASET plays an important role in supporting our colleagues at North East Scotland College through the APTUS Apprenticeship scheme, helping to develop the next generation of skilled technicians for the energy industry.
As part of the apprenticeship journey, ASET delivers practical skills training across Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Instrumentation disciplines. Through hands-on learning in our specialist training facilities in Aberdeen, apprentices have the opportunity to put technical knowledge into practice and develop experience relevant to real working environments.
Supported by experienced instructors with extensive industry backgrounds, this practical approach helps apprentices build the skills and confidence they need as they progress through their apprenticeship and towards their future careers.
SUPPORTING THE FUTURE ENERGY WORKFORCE
Developing the skilled workforce required by the energy industry relies on strong collaboration between employers, education and specialist training providers.
Through APTUS, apprentices can build a combination of technical knowledge, recognised qualifications, practical capability and workplace experience, creating a strong pathway into technical careers across the sector.
ASET is proud to contribute its specialist facilities, technical expertise and industry experience to this wider partnership, supporting the continued development of talent for an evolving energy industry.
POWERED BY OPITO & ECITB
APTUS is managed by OPITO and the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), bringing together education, specialist training and industry to support the development of the next generation of energy technicians.
The two organisations work with leading operators and contractors across the energy sector to deliver the apprenticeship programme. Apprentices are matched with an OPITO or ECITB partner company, providing ongoing support and mentoring as they progress through their apprenticeship journey.
